On #WorldMentalHealthDay I wanted to take a break from beauty to talk about a tale of two images ? because the truth is, none of us know what each other is going through. Sometimes life isn't easy, and sometimes things don't go the way you have planned. Sometimes things don't get better... And they won't... until you let them ❤️. Whether it's a hidden mental health issue, or a long term neurological struggle - we don't and won't know unless we open up and talk about them. And that... can be the biggest problem. Sometimes those with the biggest smiles may just be the ones with the biggest battles. Sometimes the laughter that fills the room does so to fill the numbness that's inside. Sometimes they don't know what or why things are happening and sometimes... they just disappear completely. Remember that old friend ? you haven't spoken to or heard from in a while... have you thought about them recently? Has anyone? What about the friend who always seems 'negative' or angry? Have you ever asked why? We live in a world where it's so easy to pick up and drop someone in a heartbeat ?. Sometimes people don't have a choice about how they feel... but YOU do. You can choose to be the person who gets mad at not having an instantaneous reply to your 20 unread texts, phone calls, emails & tweets OR you can choose to be friend that doesn't give up. And If you're struggling - the important thing is to keep fighting. Keep going. Keep talking. It may not be easy & it certainly won't be pretty, but the important thing is to take the first step ❤️ don't give up. Surround yourself with the right people who CARE for you ? from family, friends, medical experts or even your internet community ❤️ I always think that you can tell a lot about a person by how they act during the hard times. True friends aren't the ones who make your problems disappear ? They're the ones who won't disappear when you're facing problems. So ask yourself this... What if you sent one more text message? What if you didn't give up? What if you took the first step What if you told someone? ...because sometimes that's all it takes ?. TAG A FRIEND & let them know you care ❤️
