Our hearts are heavy with sadness and broken with you Las Vegas. Our prayers for strength and comfort from heaven like a cozy blanket around your heart in this time of pain and grieving. I know the tragedy and pain of this shooting and each life lost and the fear and hope for each person still fighting for their lives in the hospital right now.
I know we are all sending our love and prayers, I know even in this world full of people who, for whatever reason, think and do the most horrific, evil things to others, that there are people who truly care and want to help.
❤️I know that as early as 4am people were lining up to donate blood. The United Blood Services is in need of blood donors from those that are in Las Vegas right now. If you are in Vegas, you can go to any United Blood Services location. I also know that The Springs Church in Las Vegas is offering free grief & trauma counseling to all who are dealing with the tragedy. ?It breaks me heart we cannot do more.
I know people are getting upset from seeing posts about the shooting, people are getting upset people not posting about it, people are getting upset for seeing funny posts that seem "uncaring". Emotions are high, but let more love flow to everyone right now. More understanding. When you are devastated and have dehydrated your body from endless crying, you need to see something to give your mind and heart a little rest, something funny or distracting to ease break the pain that you will be enduring.
(I would watch stand-up comedy videos on youtube in the days after my dad died, because it was the only time in 24 hours when I took a break from crying and my head, eyes and body hurt from crying so much.)
Lift each other up today, in love, support, in giving people a break from pain.
This world is hurting everywhere. Las Vegas, Edmonton, those grieving Tom Petty, every hurricane ravaged location, in every city and home...we can't fix it all but we can offer support, prayers and make the people around us in life and on internet feel more loved.
