This was me today trying to look cute but actually I was nervous as hell lol. Since being categorised as a plus-size model by the fashion industry over 7years ago at a UK 14 I have not had one single beauty / skin or hair care casting. Not even a chance to book a job for a beauty brand. I was beyond shook, when I get asked to walk in worlds biggest ever show with the largest beauty brand in the world. But more importantly one I've personally grown up using my whole life. L'Oréal... I've literally had to put it to the back of my mind these last couple of weeks and told myself I'll believe it when I'm actually in Paris.?? Well today was the day I was actually more nervous about than even walking - the fittings. As some of you may know I've done shows and jobs in the past where I've been humiliated because there were no clothes to fit me. That after a while (and others reactions) makes you and your body feel like a problem when actually the problem is there just isn't clothes that fit me. Today I was nervous because I was walking into an environment that had so often made me feel inadequate. But today was totally different. I can't thank you enough to the whole team @lorealmakeup UK who have not only accommodated me but made me feel welcomed and beautiful. I'm so excited to celebrate how beauty is not definable or one set thing, it's something we all have within. I've loved playing with skincare, makeup and haircare my whole life, never to cover or change myself but to decorate, express myself and have fun. If any of you reading this are in Paris tomorrow come by the Champs-Élysées it's completely free and in the streets for everyone to watch. It will also be live streamed so check out the #loreal social channels. S/o to my parents for coming to Paris to support me and share in my childhood dreams coming true.✨ and to @neelamkg For being so kind and caring you're an amazing friend and human - so proud of all you're achieving. Thanks to all of you who follow and support me I wouldn't be here without you. And I'm excited to see the push for diversity and inclusion grow more and more.
