He brings food to the female in order to get mating opportunity. Male must provide 8-10 "gifts" for each mating. All this happened on a black locust tree in blossom, which attracts mass of bees. However, for some reason this male better brought a dragonfly this time... Only about 10 miles from my residency. No need to travel far away for fantastic experience.
