This picture was taken in April 2017 in Margate when I entered my first natural bodybuilding contest as a vegan single mother of two where I placed 2nd earning myself my pro card. I'd just had two surgeries a few months beforehand, worked away and totally thrown my diet, injured my groin which made squatting agony and cried my eyes out just hours before this was taken over the emotional exhaustion of been lied to, used and treated terribly by somebody who has never deserved me. This day taught me so much about my inner strength, my self worth and gut instinct and if you're finding yourselves at a crossroads in life right now then I hope you'll find an awakening just like I did. Life isn't about trying to look beautiful it's about being beautiful from the inside. It's not about having as much money as possible but as many things that money can't buy - love, health and happiness. It's not about looking big and muscly but being strong enough to understand that nothing will ever break you. There are signs all around us everywhere, always there to tell you something isn't right from a knotting in your stomach to feeling emotional, nervous, laying awake at night, distrusting somebody or having the instinct to discover the real truth. Follow your gut feeling my darlings, break free of the vile people, jealousy and negativity that try to weigh you down and realise that you deserve to wholeheartedly be the person you were born to be. Be yourself unashamedly, smile until your cheeks ache, laugh until you lose your voice and love like there's no tomorrow. This day I gained more than a title in the fitness industry, I won the right to my self worth.
