Episode 4 of the Ken Burns and Lynn Novick series 'The Vietnam War' featured this image of Nationalist South Vietnamese soldiers loading their Vietcong prisoners onto small canoe-like boats in the Mekong Delta. This image was also featured on the cover of the Jan. 25, 1963 issue of LIFE magazine. The photo essay - WE WADE DEEPER INTO JUNGLE WAR - featured a portfolio of color photos illustrating the "vicious struggle" by the great Larry Burrows.
