You guys!! I had my second piano lesson Monday! I mean, I tried to take in grade school, but wouldn't practice, so I didn't pick anything up. But that sweet piano you see here has been with me my whole life, just waiting for me to give it some focus & love. And amazing @zachsorgen (who has many gifts beyond his patience with remedial adult students) has just opened a whole new world for me. And it gives me such deep JOY. I get a song in my head, & then I can sit down at the piano & stumble thru it. To watch someone play always seemed like an unknowable magic- & for sure I am years away from anything approaching presentable- but damn if it isn't making me crazy happy already. If there's anything you've always wanted to do, but never thought you could, I encourage you to give it a swing- the joy of it may be closer than you think, if not the mastery. ?And this song is for my beautiful Aunt Norma, who introduced me to this album a hundred years ago.
