Photo by @kristarossow // The one thing I was especially keen to see on this voyage from Alaska to British Columbia was bubble net feeding humpback #whales. I got my wish while in the Sumner Strait in #Alaska. This particular group surfaced multiple times while cooperating to encircle herring using a net of air bubbles, audible calling, and fin and tail flashing. Of course, we could only see the final culmination of these team efforts when the whales surfaced all at once with their mouths agape. Taken while traveling with @NatGeoExpeditions on the National Geographic Sea Lion.
