Each piece is a potentially endless adventure; it’s like a well, and the deeper down you go, the deeper it gets. At some point you inevitably have to stop, you have to settle for the route you have explored. But, after singing the same song a dozens of times in concerts, I often realised that a small change could have made it even more beautiful! Studying, digging and discovering are never ending processes. Even the more so in pop music, because there is more room for the intuition and imagination of the singer.

Ogni brano è un’avventura che potenzialmente non ha fine, un pozzo che più percorri, più lo scopri profondo. È inevitabile a un certo punto doversi fermare, accontentarsi del tragitto esplorato. Ma spesso mi è capitato, dopo aver cantato decine di volte un brano in concerto, di accorgermi che una piccola modifica avrebbe potuto renderlo più bello! Non si finisce mai di studiare, scavare, scoprire. Ancor più nel pop, perché nella musica leggera c’è un margine maggiore lasciato all’intuizione, alla fantasia dell’interprete.
