It has been a pleasure to be guested and share the stage with Joseph Calleja, actually one of my most favorite tenors in the nowadays world's lyrical scene.
Before I met him I was already impressed by the sweetness of his vocal timbre and by the quality of his vibrato.
Right after meeting him I can also say to appreciate his beautiful soul.
That's what I said few days ago, in Malta, standing in front of the crowd for the concert gala celebrating the first 20 years of his amazing career.
A beautiful eve that also gave me, once more, the opportunity to meet another famed colleague and friend: Bryn Terfel, which I had the chance to share many adventures as the Central Park concert in 2011.

Sono stato particolarmente felice di poter condividere il palco con Joseph Calleja, uno dei miei tenori preferiti sull’attuale scena lirica mondiale. Prima di conoscerlo di persona, ne ammiravo la dolcezza del timbro e la qualità del vibrato. Dopo averlo incontrato, posso dire di apprezzarne anche la grande anima. È quanto ho ribadito, l’altra sera a Malta, di fronte al pubblico del gala concertistico che celebrava il primo ventennio della sua sfolgorante carriera. Occasione festosa che, inoltre, mi ha regalato la possibilità di riabbracciare un altro celebre collega ed amico, Bryn Terfel, col quale ho condiviso tante avventure, compreso, nel 2011, il grande concerto in Central Park.
