But now, as autumn approaches, I’m excited by the return of the Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights. Yes, the aurora is active in the summer as well, but with 24-hour light at high latitudes, they are largely invisible. But as September approaches, so do deeply dark nights and the chance for a dancing sky. I, for one, will be back up north this fall, to once again experience the stunning variety and motion of this solar gift. #auroraborealis #naturallightshow #northern nights #alaskarange
