#SpeakingInDance | “Where do you find that higher sense of realization?” asked the dancer Apoorva Jayaraman. “Where do you find inner peace? This piece basically says don’t look outside to find that — look within.” @apoorva_rj, who performs on Aug. 24 at @dixonplace as part of Drive East 2017, a festival of classical Indian music and dance presented by @navatman, specializes in #bharatanatyam, which she started studying at 5. She also has a Ph.D in astronomy. “There’s no money in astronomy or in dance,” she said, laughing.
