"No pain just happy"??? After they had their toe bones and claws amputated??? Wth?!???? Here are 2 facebook posts from an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) hospital in Ohio from last year. How is it that so many declawing vets are so disconnected from the mission of their noble profession that they can't comprehend that this barbaric, inhumane, and harmful amputation procedure IS cat cruelty & abuse for goodness sake! #WakeUp #Greed #twisted ? Today this AAHA hospital also posted a photo on their fb page of a declawed cat on their front desk & said, "He was so comfortable that he took his cat naps near the phone.lol." (Yes they actually put LOL) ?? One of my researchers called this hospital as a first time cat owner & asked to get a spay for their cat. The woman on the phone said, "DID YOU WANT HER DECLAWED AS WELL?"? They use the old school guillotine clippers to chop off cat's toe bones & claws?, they charge $250 for a spay/declaw & that's for two OR four paws. When asked if they have any cats coming back with issues with their declaws the woman said, "not on a regular basis. "? Their employee said if it's just an indoor cat and you don't want your furniture scratched they recommend a 2 paw declaw but if it's an aggressive cat then all 4 paw declaw. She said their 4 vets do declaws regularly. PLEASE sign my petition to AAHA and let's try to inspire the unethical & cowardly leaders with AAHA to STOP allowing this cat cruelty to take place in their best of the best hospitals. Declawing is BELOW the standard of care in vetmed! This practice is one of the many declawing clinics that are helping @purina make millions of $$ by recommending Purina's Yesterday's News Cat litter for their declawed kitties so PLEASE also sign my petition to Purina so they can help us end this barbaric procedure with some of the millions they are making from it.
