I just returned from Briancon. Lots of emotions packed into a few days lie behind me. I am not content with my result - logically, as I know that I have far greater potential and sadly couldn't display my current state of fitness. At the same time I'm more eager than ever to step up my training until I climb back on top. One month of preparation is before me, and with dedication and perserverance I will hopefully be able to improve loads in Arco.

Besides all that, it was wonderful to return to the circuit. So many faces I've missed, so much excitement I couldn't live without. Friends who drove all the way from Innsbruck to support me, and teammates who turned the weekend into a wonderful experience once more, proved that it's not all about results - it's about enjoying the way to get them. ?: Sytse van Slooten
