さぁ、いよいよ来たぞニューヨーク。昔COLORのメンバーと結成当時に、ボイトレをしに来たことがあったけど、それこそ23.24歳の頃だからもう、13年ぶりくらいかな。到着するなり、空港で今までとは違う雰囲気…。いろいろな、人種の方がいて、さすがNYという感じ。今回はRDDのバンドメンバー、キーボードのPHEKOO (@phekoo )（ペコーじゃないよ（笑）フェイクーです）に会いに来ました。自宅の後ろのガレージに、スタジオを作ったからセッションしよう‼︎と。RDDの新曲もまだまだたくさん作らないと‼︎もう数曲候補はあります（笑）しかし、忙しいなぁ…（笑）三足のわらじ履いてますからね…。自分。（笑）でも、それが生きがいだし、楽しいしいいんです‼︎（笑）そして、とりあえず彼の自宅のあるブロンクスに遊びに行きました。スタジオに入ると、それはそれはカッコいいスタジオが完成してるではありませんか‼︎そしてハワイから、日系三世の親友、BLAKE (@blakehiguchi )アキラもたまたま予定が合い、遊びに来てくれました‼︎まさにこれが、 "ワールドワイド友情"（笑）そして、PHEKOOが、 "EXILE PRIDEの時のレコード大賞の盾をATSUSHIに飾って欲しい‼︎その写真をスタジオ完成記念に撮らせろbro‼︎" と言ってくれました。可愛いなと思いました（笑）彼は "EXILE PRIDE"の作曲者ですし、日本のアワードでもらった盾は、ブロンクスに住む彼にとっても、彼のミュージシャンキャリアにおいて、とても大きなことなのだと、あらためて感動させられました。今回また、あの時あの賞をいただけたことに、感謝の気持ちを持ち、そして仲間までもが、幸せを感じてくれ、そしてその名の通りそれをこのNYで "誇り" に思ってくれていることを、心から嬉しく思いました。NY レポ続く…。 .
Here I am now in New York!
When I was about 23 or 24 years old, I came to New York for vocal training with my former COLOR members. It's been 13 years! Upon arrival at the airport, I felt that the atmosphere was different from the past... There are many people from different backgrounds. That's what's great about NYC!
This time I came to see RDD's band member, PHEKOO the keyboardist.
He created a studio in his garage so we went to jam!
There are already several RDD songs but geez I'm busy....I'm currently juggling three projects at once. But this is my life and I love it.
So, we went to his house in the Bronx.
The studio was off the chain!
Also my good friend from Hawaii, Blake was able to stop by as well.
This is what "world wide friendship" is.
Then PHEKOO said, "I want to take a photo of you placing the Japan Record Award Trophy on the shelf". Pretty funny guy he is. He's the guy who wrote "EXILE PRIDE". I realized again that it was a big proud moment for him, living in the Bronx to receive this award. A big step for his music career as well. Looking back at this award, I also felt grateful and was very happy to have a friend that lives in New York who feels the same way. More NY posts coming soon!!
