The Diamond Ring! The last moments before a total solar eclipse and the first seconds after totality show a dazzling point of light while the brightest area of solar corona appears as a ring around the dark face of the moon. On August 21st the moon casts a shadow on Earth, racing across the US, through 14 states. Swipe left to see the visibility map. The partial eclipse is visible from all North and Central America, and a glimpse of it from Hawaii (at sunrise). But remember, the main show is totality!
