Let's all join together and make declawing a cat a crime in North America! ????
Thankfully most vets and dog owners would NEVER consider amputating a dog's toes and claws if it was ruining hardwood floors or carpet so WHY in the world do 80% of vets in America do such a cruel and inhumane procedure to around 5000 cats a DAY????????????? ???
Any vet that declaws a cat is unethical and inhumane and any cat owner that does this cruelty to their cats, shouldn't have one as a pet.
There are ALWAYS humane and commonsense ways to prevent cats from scratching up your ugly &%@ sofas! Nail trims, sturdy scratching posts, soft paws, and deterrents are just some of the ways!!!
You train your dogs when you want them to behave so start treating your cats with respect and STOP barbarically amputating their much needed body parts.
Here's a sad post on instagram a couple days ago by a dog and cat owner who had their cat's toe bones and claws amputated to protect their furniture! ??
