It's hard to properly capture or describe the experience we have had on the Tour du Mont Blanc. It has been magnificent, awe-inspiring, one of the hardest challenges of my entire life. In ten days we climbed a bunch of mountains, hiked over 110 miles through three countries, I turned 30, and we got engaged (surprise!). My biggest take-away is this: there is not one right way to do something. In regular life we can become so focused on one singular path we think we have to take to achieve our goals, when in reality there are a multitude of paths and options we can take to arrive at our desired destination. Sometimes the hardest path provides the greatest reward. Sometimes it doesn't. You have to do what feels right for you at that time, not base your decisions on what others may be doing. But don't be afraid to challenge yourself! ✨ My other take-away? Always eat lunch. ? Thank you @natedoggfromiowa for being my road dog, best friend, and biggest source of strength on this beautiful and crazy journey through the alps and through life. And thanks for carrying the water.
