The first amateur trans athlete representing @teamusa is an advocate of key rule changes governing transgender athletes.

@thechrismosier is the first open transgender athlete to compete on a national level in a division different from the gender he was assigned at birth. In 2016, he became the first transgender athlete to represent team USA at the World Championships. He faced pushback from policies that prohibited transgender athletes from competing on a national team. He challenged those and helped forever change guidelines regarding transgender athletes in competition.
