#motivationmonday with my friend and now published author Maya Grant! Maya and I met on the beach last year during the @cafoundation #juniorseaufoundation adaptive surf camp. She was walking by (not involved in the camp at all) and I noticed one of her legs was bigger than the other. I yelled and waved her over to me (Because I can't move on the sand) and we ended up talking for hours on the beach that day about how hard it is to be different but how our differences make us unique. We decided that Maya's big leg was her "super leg" and that hers is "A Different Story" that needs to be told and that could help people better understand her and encourage other kids with differences to celebrate them!
