Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there and of course a special one to mine. Two things my dad had said to me over the years stick out in my mind. •

The first is my dad's advice before every match: "go full blast and never give up". Thanks, dad ???? •

The second is something he said to me weeks after I won the Olympics: "If I could go back in time and do it all over again, I would never let you wrestle." Initially I was kind of annoyed at this comment and couldn't comprehend why he would say that, I thought I made him proud? But then he said "I would have rather you stayed close to home so we could have spent more time together, that's all I really want" •

My dad embodies sacrificial love. He's always supported and sacrificed his dream for my dream simply because he loves me. I can't ever thank him enough for setting such a great example for me. To my first love--thank you, Dad.
