TODAY was a long one...There were some good moments, some joy, some laughter, to be sure, but much of it was long and exhausting and what I described to Willie as the opposite of fun, but YESTERDAY this happened. My husband lead our church and interviewed his good friend (who happens to also be named Willie) whom he just met in January in Peru on a trip with @helponenow These two men talked about caring for others, doing the right thing, making disciples of all nations, generational legacy, stepping up to God's calling, never thinking someone is too far gone, loving people well...And at one point our son (who is working at a summer camp so couldn't be there) came on the screen and taught us about doing things God calls you to, then he read to the church from Acts 8. And I sat on the front row and snapped this pic and held back happy tears and felt really proud and thankful.
