I'm super sad today. A cat owner that clearly loves her cat, posted a photo of her cat in a public declaw hashtag section after it was fixed and declawed. ?
Some of you reached out to me and told me about the photo and asked me if I would respectfully educate her about the truth about declawing. So I did.
The response I got was quite disheartening. She said I was wasting my time and her boyfriend said some really mean things to me like, "you probably think clipping a child's finger nails cause them to be serial killers and gives them polio. I'm going to capture every cat I can find and declaw them now just because you can't keep your useless thoughts to yourself. " ?????
I tried. I was nice and tried to inspire this girl to help us with this cause since she clearly is being deceived by her shameful, unethical greedy declawing vet who makes great $ from the spay/neuter/declaw packages and harms and mutilates the kitties. Lately, most of the cat owners that you ask me to reach out to, after they realize how inhumane declawing is, they don't do it to their cat or in honor of their cat that was declawed, they join the millions of us and help with this cause so that other cats won't go through the same barbaric procedure.
I'm sorry this time the message didn't get through and was met with anger and walls. ?? it's quite sad that these people get angry at me and not at their inhumane declawing vets who amputate their cat's toe bones and claws and cause a lifetime of pain and suffering. ???????#pawsneedclaws #sad #disheartened
