I must say this makes me super sad. ??
Many of you have been sending me this video clip and notes about the @アニマルプラネット 's tv show The Vet Life​ and how someone from their practice, @cyfairah , is waving at a declawed cat in one of the latest episodes.
For 3 weeks I respectfully reached out to these vets to ask them how they address declawing at their practice and if they would join us in our important cause to end this very inhumane and harmful procedure. Three of their managers and employees said they gave the vets my email but I didn't get a reply.
I'm sad to say that these 3 vets declaw cats on a regular basis at Cy-Fair Animal Hospital, sometimes 5 cats a week their employees say. When first time cat owners ask their employees what they recommend with a spay surgery, they even recommend a declaw. Their employees say there are no negative consequences to declawing a cat.
It would be nice if these 3 vets, who have a national audience, would help educate the public about the awful truth about this barbaric, mutilating, and unnecessary amputation procedure.
Maybe you can help me respectfully inspire these 3 vets to help us with our cause and to stop harming cats and causing them a lifetime of suffering when they amputate their toes and claws. #PawsNeedClaws
