My creative space is my sacred space, the air for my soul. No matter what is going on, carving out time for this, even if it's just ten minutes, makes a night and day difference and it almost always helps me approach my other tasks with more fluidity and focus. This is why I will sometimes purposefully overpack for a cafe outing or when I visit my secret spot by the river - I like having a full palette to choose from since often inspiration can change its tempo in the moment and having an array of options handy is nice. Though there is definitely something to be said for days when all I have on me is one notebook and one writing instrument and that traveling light can be freeing and inspiring in and of itself. Both aspects of limitation and abundance yield itself beautifully in the creative process, and in a way that is part of the inspiration of it all too. At least for me. So today I hope each of you get plenty of time in your sacred space, whatever it may look like or entail, and that it refreshes and refuels. Here's to a most wonderful day ahead. -
