"Embrace those parts of yourself that you've skillfully avoided until now. That's your true adventure." -Gina Greenlee - - This season reminds me of when I first moved to Philly years ago. So many changes and transitions occurred so swiftly at that point in my life back then. Some with pain and others an extremely kind embrace from life. All I knew was that I instantly felt at home in this new unknown and each day I used to explore a new street and side street in a city that not only became my home but will always be a part of me. I'm no longer residing there but I feel a tide similar to the one that brought me to the city of brotherly love years ago. It wasn't just a landmark or a place but rather it was my heart springing to life colossally. The yawp of living, taking in each ordinary day as a treasure, exploring nooks and crannies, sharing my sandwich with a stranger on the park bench, celebrating life and my place in it. It was the first time I wasn't looking for something outwardly, whether validation, romance, opportunity or even inspiration itself. My soul had come to life and as a result everything around me felt so full of life too. The last several years have felt like a long season of pruning and germinating. And this is the first time in awhile I've felt fresh sap start to run through the branches again. And all I can do is just be wholeheartedly thankful and enjoy every moment in its splendor. Summer is upon us. And so are new roads and fields and stories yet to be told. Even if they're right in our own backyard. And I cannot wait. ? - - - - Pen: Model 20 Marietta in Vintage Green with the Christoph music nib by @franklinchristoph; Leather Case: Mod Tablet 3 in Cognac by @thisisground; Tote: Marlowe Carryall in Moss by @pegandawl.
