A corn snake at @lincolnchildrenszoo in Nebraska.
These snakes can be found in eastern and southeastern parts of the United States. They hunt small prey like mice, amphibians and small reptiles that they kill through constriction. They are very adaptable and make their homes in a variety of habitats such as overgrown fields, forest edges and even abandoned buildings.
