Photo by @FransLanting Toucans add a striking presence to any forest where they occur. Their outrageous bills are complemented by outlandish facial patterns, such as the eye rings of blue skin in this toco toucan, which I photographed in bird park in Brazil’s Pantanal, the world’s largest tropical wetland. I turned the amazing textures and patterns of the toucan’s face into an abstraction of pure color.
