Yesterday i had to take Homer to the vet because i've noticed some changes in his habits (i found him thinner, he is drinking/peeing a lot more, is puking very very often and was kinda limping from his back legs...) Nothing terrible but still i was feeling something, you know??
So we went yesterday morning to make some blood works. Homer was so stressed/scared that he attacked the vet so she had to sedate him! It was so weird seeing him like this. Look at him, looks like he is crying!?
Then we weighted him and he is now 6.4 kilos. That means he has lost 3 kilos!!!!! I want to think that it's just because of running after Nug all day + his new diet... But that is nearly a third of his weight!?
After the blood work was done, she decided to make an echography. His kidneys are purrfect so for that i'm glad. But, of course there is a but, his stomach was weird and his spleen had nodules/masses on them. That, plus the fact that his white cells are really really high and the weight loss, shows that there is a problem/infection somewhere. ?
So i have to took him to a specialist center for him to take a 2.0 echography tomorrow. Then i will go back to the vet with the results so she can tell me what is going on. If it is a problem on his spleen he will have a surgery to remove it. If it's his stomach or else then i don't know!?! I didn't ask and kinda don't want to know. I'm so scared... Just hoping that the echo will show nothing and that everything will be fine! Maybe it was just some leftover treats or tiny mini poopballs or fat farts? That's possible! Right??
I wanted to let you know and ask you all if you could maybe think about him and sending him good vibes for tomorrow... I would really appreciate!?
