April 15-23 is #NationalParkWeek – created by @nationalparkservice and our conservation partners @goparks to celebrate America's National Parks. We're highlighting a different national park every day through April 23.
Today we look out over @GrandCanyonNPS. The Colorado River created this immense canyon that bisects the park: 277 river miles long, up to a mile deep and up to 18 miles wide. The park also features camping, miles of hiking trails and numerous waterfalls and jaw-dropping sights in the canyon's many tributaries.
Celebrate National Park Week by visiting a park near you – admission is FREE this weekend, April 22-23.
