Justin K. Thannhauser worked at his father’s gallery (the Moderne Galerie in Munich), from an early age. In 1913, the Moderne Galerie hosted one of the first major German exhibitions of #PabloPicasso’s works, which led to a friendship with the artist that would span the rest of their lives. Because of Thannhauser’s decades-long friendship with #Picasso, the museum received almost 30 of his works, spanning from The End of the Road (1898–99) to Lobster and Cat (1965). #TBT #Guggenheim #GuggVisionaries
