This image was shot with a 300mm lens so I could analyze one of the climbing routes in detail. As a climber I took an inordinate number of images of this peak. With clear weather it felt like being "in the throne room of the mountain gods" - a phrase made famous by Galen Rowell's book of the same name. As can be seen, and as every climber knows, Cerro Torre is serious business and not for the faint of heart. I can't wait to get back down to El Chalten, Argentina and explore this area again.
