Great but a bit unlucky start of the Bouldering World Cup season...
I prepared myself more than ever to get ready for this event. Not only training but also the right amount of resting and rock climbing to get fresh body and mind!
The first day was very stressful, especially after the actual qualification round. I had to wait all the competitors to know if I was going to make it to the next round. Eventually I made the cut, barely but I made it in 10th place in my group... a bit of luck is what you need sometimes!
Second day I was super excited to give all I had in semifinals.
The first boulder was pretty hard especially the last move to get the top hold and kick the side wall to stop the big swing (in the photo by @yanne_golev ). After a few tries I stuck the move, hit the wall perfectly, stabilized and on the way to readjust my foot I slipped off and found myself back on the mat ?.
Second problem was super hard for me and I couldn't even get the bonus...
Usually, in this situation, with zero top out of two boulders, I would be demoralized and out the "mental game" but this time I was able to stay focused and still in the right mood.
The last two boulders were not super hard but very technical and precarious with bad feet.
After a good fight I managed to top both of them and finished my semi with 2tops in 7attempts.
I knew that with the missed top on the first problem I would've been in finals.
Actually I had to wait till the very last climber on the very last problem to know if I was going to make it...
... And like many other times, I can definitely count at least fifteen times between WC's and other International events, I finished in 7th place, just one spot out of the Final...
7️⃣is my number and it looks like I can't get rid of it, but I don't loose the motivation and I keep on fighting!!...

The next round for me will be in Tokyo ?? in exactly one month!! Sayoonara!!...
