Welcome 2017!!
I can't believe this is gonna be the year of my 30's... time is running fast but every year I feel stronger, better and more involved in that thing that covers the 99,9% of my life, Climbing!
I am still in the USA, for one last week, but before leaving the country, I promised myself I have to take part at the @darkhorseboulderingseries , at least one time, before I will get too old ?...
So I flew to Boston!
The Dark Horse Final was also part of the @usaclimbing National Cup Series so most of the strongest American competitors were there testing their shape before the National Championship in a couple of weeks...
First day was qualification round in redpoint format. That means a cool session all togheter in a very friendly atmosphere. I climbed pretty well doing the hardest 5 problems in 7 attempts and secured first place into finals!
Final round was exactly what I was expecting, a little room packed with super excited people cheering and screaming!!
The boulders were great and very interesting but unfortunately a bit too hard and basically everybody got his ass kicked! But I think the setters did an amazing work even though!
I felt pretty strong during finals but kind of nervous and shaky. I think I could have topped at least two boulders with a different mind game but eventually I only got close and didn't top any of them.
At the end of the comp my result was 2nd right behind young prodigy @kailightner who topped one boulder!!
@tlandman completed the podium in 3rd!
And of course, @アレックス・パッチシオ , even if sick, took it down the female category!
