One of the great things about visiting national parks is the ease and convenience of beautiful angles and compositions right off the road- as a photographer it's also where the challenge is to get a unique photo and perspective. This composition here is quite literally from the parking lot as you drive into #monumentValley, it's framed up so perfectly that you gotta shoot it. A cloudless sunrise doesn't offer much in the way of depth in the sky so for this photo I went with an in-camera #doubleExposure to add something extra to the photo. It's a simple and old technique from the film days where you expose 2 pictures onto a single frame. The first photo here was of the iconic silhouetted #MittenRocks, the second photo was behind me of the clouds. Together you get an ethereal moment and something different.
