When the Golden Gate Bridge was finished in 1937, the city celebrated for a week. The first day the bridge opened there were plenty of eager people who wanted to be the first to do something un-usual on the bridge so pretty quickly records were set for people unicycling, walking on stilts, playing the harmonica & running over the bridge (amongst other bizarre feats). I think the most impressive stat belongs to the hot dog vendors who sold somewhere around 50,000 hot dogs and after that day never had to work again....probably #GoldenGateBridge #SanFrancisco
