A special #tbt collection of Halo for #nationalpuppyday. ??
We got her in May 2009 BEFORE we were into rescue. She is our only (and last) pet from a breeder. She'll be 8 this year and even though she lost an eye to glaucoma last year, she's a happy healthy girl. Yoshi, the black & tan male Shiba in one of the pics came to us at the age of 4 from a rescue. I believe he is purebred and probably came from a breeder initially but we were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time when he ran away from his human one too many times and his owner gave up on him & surrendered him to @goodkarmapetrescue who knew we were looking for a friend for Halo. They knew we wanted a male who was neutered, good with kids, dogs/cats, and over a year old. He for all our criteria. The fact that he happened to be another Shiba Inu was a very rare and lucky bonus. Unfortunately we don't have any puppy pics of him. Wish we did.
Please remember that even if you are looking for a specific breed, you can usually find one through a rescue if you are patient. ??
