@timothy.curtis #igtakeover ... @joeyjoeygarfield was the person who interviewed me for Juxtapoz so now I got to turn the table and ask him what it was like working with my friend Mikey on The Love Letter Movie set... "There was nothing easy about filming A Love Letter For You. It was like we were on a National Geographic shoot deep in the unforgiving forests of West Philly. It was fun, it was exciting, even dangerous but never easy. What was easy was working with Mikey. I casted him to be our main character. Mikey was a natural troublemaker who felt more comfortable scaling the walls of a row home than saying his lines but I believed in him despite some hesitation from production regarding his professionalism. One morning we had to shoot really early on this rooftop next to the elevated train. The crew didn't expect he would show up but sure enough he was there. So we are on the rooftop about to shoot the scene where he wakes up, packs up, and leaves. I yell "Action", we start shooting and Mikey strips down buck ass naked for the shot and no one even asked him to. The commuter trains roll by and there he is whiter than sugar for all of West Philly to see. I yell cut and walk up to him and ask why he felt the need to do that scene naked and he says "I'm trying to parley this acting into a professional underwear modeling career how else am I supposed to market myself." See what I'm saying? Professionalism. A good actor always gives you more." ? @joeyjoeygarfield
