#tbt to 10 years ago when I had the absolute pleasure of making a new fake movie family when we worked together on the Peter Hedges directed Dan In Real Life. Steve Carell, Juliette Binoche, Amy Ryan, Alison Pill, Emily Blunt, Britt Robertson, Dianne Wiest, John Mahoney, Marlene Lawston, Norbert Leo Butz, Matthew Morrison, Frank Wood & I lived together in Rhode Island in an old lovely house and we rehearsed there dancing singing and writing letters to each other as siblings to get into our roles. This was a one of a kind experience that I not only learned a lot from the cast but was something I was searching for creatively away from the solo life of stand up. When I watched the film recently so many memories came back and they were literally all positive. Thank you to everyone involved. It's been so cool watching my "family" take their talents to amazing new places. It's inspiring and I'm grateful for this experience.
