@arnold_daniel has a fascination with Midtown Manhattan. “It’s kind of a time capsule of New York,” he said. The photographer, known for his melancholic photos that find humor in iconic New York moments, usually looks for scenes you might call quirky: people eating hotdogs or a dog dragging a human across a street. But in this series, @arnold_daniel was also looking for style. Between November and January, he brought his tongue-and-cheek approach to these frames he captured for @nytimesfashion. Along with fur coats and leopard print, he couldn’t help but capture scenes like the first in this series, or what he describes as “a quiet, private moment happening in a loud public space.” Swipe left to see more photos.
