Today is the 25th anniversary of the release of The Disposable Heroes of Hipoprisy album Hypocrisy Is The Greatest Luxury. The only album made by our early 90's political hip-hop band with my partners Rono Tse, Mark Pistel, Simone White and Charlie Hunter. I never imagined that the issues I addressed on the record would still be so poignant today. Media manipulation on Television The Drug Of The Nation, bullying and violence against LGBTQ on Language Of Violence, Wall Street corruption on Satanic Reverses, war in the Middle East on Winter Of The Long Hot Summer and political hypocrisy throughout. My favorite song though is the one I did with the now legendary guitarist Charlie Hunter - Music and Politics. The song deals with the struggles of balancing personal life, politics and my passion for music.
