On #worldwildlifeday let's recommit to whichever species+ issue is close to our hearts. For me it is #elephants I love the feeling of knowing that the orphaned babies are being loved + cared for by @dswt . And that they will get to live their wild life one day. You can adopt one and be a part of their healing - let's all keep fighting to protect what is beautiful about our world ?. Link in bio ・・・
Goodnight from the #DSWT Nursery!
Baby elephants never sleep alone in the wild, and we think that the orphans in our care should have the same luxury. For that reason, our Keepers bunk down with the youngest calves at the Nursery. Should their little charges need anything throughout the night — a bottle of milk, a comforting hug, or even just a reassuring presence — they're right on-hand to provide it, much like a mother elephant would.
