The pressure human beings have placed on the natural world unfortunately continues to increase unabated and @doug_gimesy believes it is everyone responsibility to do what we can to address this situation. This young girl was photographed while partaking in a tree planting event to help replenish the local coastal woodlands which is an invaluable food source for koalas. In some areas koala over-browsing has caused a dramatic decline in woodland health, and sadly, in some cases the dieback has been so severe that entire canopies have died and koalas left starving.
