Last Friday, @alexwroblewskiphoto took this #panoramic photo of children playing on Umpire Rock, a boulder in @centralparknyc that also goes by the name of Rat Rock. (Guess where it got that reputation.) In a 1924 @ニューヨーク・タイムズ article, a person identified simply as "the old New Yorker" described the rock as "a famous sliding place for the boys and girls of old New York" and recalled sitting "on an old tin pie plate to slide down its surface."
