[@bpatrickflynn] When it comes to bold colors, I'm a huge fan of tropical hues. While they're not for everyone, island-inspired tones evoke a joyful, high-energy vibe and can breathe new life into even the most formal of spaces. Anytime I'm using them, I try to stick with one overall cool color like aqua and then pair it with a warm color like coral or salmon. And to mediate, I usually bring in touches of black and white pattern [here, in the drapery] and layer different shades and tints of that accent color [here, in the bedding] for depth. design @bpatrickflynn| ? @sarahdorio
