Sometimes we can get SO caught up in our own thinking patterns that we can’t fully appreciate the big picture. I’ve been working diligently to create more perspective for myself, and I encourage you to do so with me! Here are my 5 strategies. 1. Cultivate new habits: finding a rhythm in my work allows me to keep consistency while not feeling overworked or “burned out”. This means a balance of checking to-do lists and creating creative space for my life. 2. Keep Learning: learn outside of the scope of modules and syllabis. It’s important to provide yourself with knowledge that grasps interest for you. For example, I’m really interested in topics like nutrition, sport science, PD, spirituality, and poetry. Whether it be the books I read, the podcasts I hear, or the company I surround myself by, I believe learning in space creates the greatest impact for my emotional and intellectual growth. 3. Say you’ll do it and DO IT. Maintaining integrity with yourself is huge. It’s an opportunity to prove to YOURSELF that you can do whatever it is you set your mind to. Treat your thoughts like gold. This will enhance your self-confidence tremendously. 4. Laugh often! Taking life seriously all the time can leave us feeling robotic and out of tune with our emotions. There are many studies out there that show a positive correlation between smiling and experiencing feel good emotions, so get in the habit of working those facial muscles! Also, laughing is an act we all share; I find this theme of unity so beautiful. 5. Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses. Oftentimes we’ll run through grass fields solely with the end in mine, paying little notice to the scenery around us. It’s important to cultivate gratitude in your tracks. Stop and think of all the beauty that surrounds you today. Being grateful for where you are in this moment is a priceless act. 6. I hope one of these tips resonates with you. If so, let’s work on perspective expansion together??. Happy Wednesday everyone! #FitnessIsAMentalThingFirstAndForemost #BrainGainsAreVeryImportant #TeamFightForGrowth
