NEW POST! It took me a while for me to finish and publish my #ImmigrantFoodStories post, but now it's finally live {Link in the Bio}. Partly because #LabNoon in whole, is a long, on-going immigrant food story; It’s the tale of my Iranian culinary heritage combined with what I learn everyday from the spectacular food culture of Italy, where I immigrated a decade ago. What you might not is how far back these immigrant food stories go.
I am sharing the recipe of this gorgeous Persian quince stew (that you can also make with apples). I served this dish at my #PersianAutumnDinner supper club a couple of months ago at #LatteriaStudio. The trusty and true recipe is adapted from the bible of Iranian kitchens, "The Art of Cooking" by late Rosa Montazami. This #cookbook has been so important, that even during the 8 years of Iran-Iraq war in the eighties when food and other necessities were rationed in Iran, each family was aloud a copy of Rosa's cookbook with their social coupons. Please read the post, and let me know what you think in the comments and share your immigrant food stories.
