Advice for when the news gets you down - say FUCK IT to makeup, set your eye bags free, eat a cookie and put on something that makes you feel positive. I try to ring in each New Year wearing a token or symbol of what I hope my next year will bring. I bought this "Endless Fortune" hat over the holidays in Taipei with that intention. Though my news ticker gives me an achey gut, when I think of this mantra I am able to refocus for a minute on all the amazing things that are happening in my small personal sphere. Give yourself a break sometimes you guys! Four years is a long time to go hard every day.
