Eating a meal at a professional football game — where the average price of a hot dog is $5.19 and a beer $7.38 — can be brutal. But more @NFL franchises are following the @MLB’s lead by trying to upgrade the fare and hold down the prices at concessions. Leading the pack: The @atlantafalcons, who lost last night’s #SuperBowl. Next season, when their $1.5 billion @メルセデス・ベンツ Stadium opens, they plan to sell the least expensive food in the @NFL. The team’s owner, Arthur Blank, wants a family of 4 to be able to eat for about $28. That means hot dogs, soda or a bottle of water will each cost $2. A 12-ounce beer will go for $5. @dustchambers photographed several specialty items that will be on the new menu, including the classic cheeseburger ($5) and the Mitchell dog ($6), which rests in a sweet bun that tastes like a glazed doughnut and is topped with bacon jam and Gruyère cheese.
