Insta-tutorial: Finally got my hands on the @love_amika straightening brush and I filmed a first impressions tutorial for you guys! Keep scrolling down to read the difference I noticed versus a conventional straightener. This is not sponsored!! ----------------------------------------------
Major Benefits: Heats up really fast (goes up to 450 degrees), more volume & shine, easy to create more shape/style, hair doesn't smell burned, amazing for touching up second & third day hair, harder to accidentally burn yourself.
Keep in mind: If your roots are kinky or curly (like mine) you'll need to hold the brush for a few seconds in that area & then slowly brush it down. I rough blow dried my entire head first to speed it up the process. Don't forget to always put a heat protector in your hair before heat styling. Last but not least, you might need to touch up your side burns and/or other small areas with a straightener.
